Shop&Ship

Shop&Ship offers worldwide shipping addresses but with limited features and unclear fee structures. Many services are not available or have uncertain costs.

Shop & Ship gives you personal shipping addresses in 40+ countries, including the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Japan and China. Owned and operated by Aramex give them a breadth of scale that many other forwarders cannot match.

You can shop from participating retailers, have your purchases delivered to the relevant Shop & Ship address, and then have them forwarded to your home country. The service currently supports delivery to 80+ destinations.

You can choose between Basic and Flex memberships. The current site describes Basic as a lifetime membership and Flex as a premium membership, with Flex offering substantially better shipping rates. Shop & Ship's partner information lists Basic at US$45 lifetime and Flex at US$119 annually. Flex calculates shipping in 100g increments, compared with 500g increments on Basic.

Your main ongoing cost is the international shipping charge, calculated according to origin, destination and shipment weight. Shop & Ship also offers S&S Protect, which automatically covers packages valued below US$100. For higher-value shipments, Basic protection costs US$3 per US$100, while Flex costs US$2 for the first US$500 and US$2 per additional US$100.

A major difference from many other forwarders is that Shop & Ship does not consolidate packages. Each shipment is processed and forwarded separately when it arrives at the relevant address. It also offers specialist services such as S&S Select and S&S Perfume for certain restricted or specialist products.

Shop & Ship is owned and operated by Aramex International LLC, the UAE-based global logistics company. Aramex lists Shop & Ship as part of its International Express / parcel-forwarding business, alongside MyUS, another forwarding company. The service is therefore not an independent forwarding company but a consumer e-commerce shipping service operated within the Aramex group.

In short: Shop & Ship is a large, global forwarding network with 40+ origin addresses, but its model is quite different from traditional package forwarders. You pay a membership fee and then shipping for each package, with no consolidation. Flex is aimed at frequent users who can benefit from lower shipping rates and more favourable weight increments.
